KWWA 2012 State Championships

On Sunday 8th July, the 2012 Kung Fu Wu Shu WA State Championships will be held at Willetton Basketball Stadium

The event, which will run from 9AM-5PM will host Kung Fu, Wushu, Tai Chi and Sanda (full contact).

You will see a variety of Chinese Martial Arts Academies competing under 1 banner, in the spirit of competition.

In addition, Sanda China’s version of full contact fighting will be represented.

We encourage all students to think about competing, and to see your Instructors if you have any questions!

FFF Friendly Games #5

Good evening

Set aside Friday evening the first of June for the next exciting instalment of Free Form Fighting... The Free Form Fighting Friendly Games has now established itself as the hot new “multiple Martial Arts fighting sport”. Round 5 is locked in with the finishing touches in full swing. Those whom attended round 4 saw an array of great bouts with fighters excelling in their chosen style. Triple F continues to receive accolades for its simple and easy to understand rules, accompanied by a fighter and spectator friendly environment. The sport grows from strength to strength.

Some of you that have not had the opportunity to attend the friendly games, may wonder what it would be like to test your martial skills against other styles in a controlled “ego-free” environment. Now is your chance to check it out for yourself.

Make some space in your calendar for the latest instalment of this new and exciting mixed martial arts fighting tournament. Aside from a huge and closely matched fight card, you can also expect to see some amazing demonstrations of an array of Martial Arts...

Mullewa - Midwest Region

Si Fu will be travelling to the Midwest town of Mullewa to deliver the nationally recognised Certificate 2 Sport Coaching qualification.

The intensive 2 week training program starts Monday 14.5.12.

This Activity is supported by the Australian Government through the Indigenous Sport and Recreation Program of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Narrogin Grading & Presentation

The Grading and Presentation Ceremony commenced with 2 members of the Academy’s demo team performing specular Ging Mo skills including a barehanded fight sequence and culminating with a 2 man tile break. Well done Si Hing Sheng (C) and Corey Hunter.

Hale School Senior Ball

Great success. The Academy demo team provided 40 minute non-stop Traditional Chinese Lion Dancing, spectacular performances including barehanded & weapon fight sequences and breaking concrete roof tiles with their Gow Choy.
Reported by school staff as the “most successful School Ball in Hale history”.

Students complete 80 hour intensive Skills For Life training program.

The nationally recognised Certificate 2 Sports Coaching qualification training (specialisation: martial arts) culminated with the traditional Grading and Presentation ceremony witnessed by Si Fu Gawain Siu, Si Mo Mary Anne Taylor, Si Hing Jamie Samson along with family and friends of the students.

“It has been an honour to share the last 10 days with you all. Congratulations on achieving your Certificate 2 and Yellow Belt” says Si Fu.
