I acknowledge firstly my parents, Malcolm & Gloria Sue. My father for being my Si Fu and mentor, sharing with me his knowledge of Chinese Martial Arts and Traditional Medicine. Sharing his experiences in life and allowing me to discover the courage it takes to stand in the face of total disagreement. My mother for her love and nurturing. Through her I discovered the meanings of support, courage, devotion, loyalty and strength.
The late Grandmaster Ip Shui of Tung Kong Chow Gar Tong Long Pai, Southern Preying Mantis Kung Fu (Hong Kong) for capturing my father’s love for fighting.
Grandmaster Dr. Nat Yuen (Hong Kong) who with my father developed the following of Tong Long in Brisbane, Queensland during the 1960’s.
Master Kim of Guangdong Province (China), my first teacher of Chen Style Tai Chi (1987).
Sharon and Roy Aveling of Clear Perceptions (Perth, 2003). Roy for his support and love during one the Academy’s most difficult financial evolutions. Sharon for her support and teaching during the most challenging time of my life, her amazing wisdom and for sharing her gift of healing.
